Who we are
BookMason was founded with the sole purpose of making the book production management process more efficient for busy project editors, project managers, and book shepherding staff in high-stress publishing environments.
Our founder, Thomas Hill, has been working in the book publishing industry as an editor and project manager for 20 years. In that time, he has worked on over 300 titles—some as a line editor or proofreader, some as a development editor, and others as a book production specialist. His experience shepherding multiple book projects landed him a position at John Wiley & Sons, one of the largest academic publishers in the world, where he developed and managed multiple books at one time in one of the organization’s highest-grossing book brands.
BookMason was born out of a desire to become a more efficient project manager—especially for those individuals who are juggling several book projects at the same time. It incorporates real-world experience that project editors face in performing daily tasks, streamlining the process of keeping in contact with authors, editors, designers, marketing professionals, and other contributors to your book projects.
“Knowing that a cake was baked with love makes it taste better.”
