From there, you’ll have a chance to select from a team of highly qualified freelance professionals who provide all manner of services for your book. (And, yes, we vet every individual who works with us to ensure they can handle the demands of your project!)

We’ll submit a quote to you for services based on the needs outlined in your survey. Your assigned project editor will request your manuscript to review the content for readiness (We retain the right to refuse any manuscript deemed not ready for book production and may also recommend other services not originally requested.)

Then you’ll be invited to join the BookMason Indie desktop and mobile apps, where you can track the progress of your book via your assigned project editor. BookMason Indie is available to authors by invitation only, and your project editor will handle all of the details of onboarding. All the tasks you request from us will be shown on your dashboard until your project is done and ready for delivery.

The BookMason Indie system is just like having your book produced at a larger publishing house. With a dedicated project editor, there’s always someone monitoring the progress of your project and actively communicating with your team. It takes all the guesswork out of managing a book project yourself, so you can focus on what really matters: reviewing edited manuscripts and proofs, approving project milestones, and preparing to be a published author!
